Finding time to play at Kintbury Tennis Club

There are plenty of opportunities for play at Kintbury Tennis Club. These include

Wednesday night club night

Adult members have priority after 6.30pm and all are welcome to join in. We mix and match according to who is present and everyone will get a game.

League matches

These take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, and occasional Sunday mornings from May to end of July. Obviously, if you are in the teams, you'll be playing then. Once matches are finished round about 9.30pm, there's still time for half an hour of play under floodlights.

Saturday morning/afternoon club sessions

This is a good time for members to get together, and enjoy tennis and social fun, (often with tea and cakes). We start at 11am and usually go on til about 2pm.

Friday drills

Our coaching team has started Friday night drills and skills session. See coaching page for their contact details.

Sundays are usually free all day, unless we are holding a family tournament or other event.

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

When there are no league matches, there is team practice on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. These are invited sessions that are open to players according to ability, but on Tuesday night, one court is left free for members to book their own sessions. The Thursday session is for Mens A & B standard, whereas Tuesday and Monday are for players of Mixed C and above. If you feel you should be eligible to sign up for Tuesday play and currently are not able to, please contact Graeme Coulam.

Arrange your own

Other than formal club sessions and league fixtures, and after school coaching on Tuesday and Wednesdays, the courts are often free for you to do your own thing. If there is a session you'd like to see, why not organise it yourself? The club would welcome everyone getting involved and encouraging other members to play. You can even use the contact members page on this site to get in touch with other players of a similar standard, similar age, or the same gender.

If the courts are going to be in use for league matches on any given day, the fixture will be announced on the home page of this website.

You can book your own courts to arrange club competitions or friendly games.

We are a friendly club that welcomes players of every ability - whether you are a beginner
or a county player
or anything in between
